Cardinal Logistics represents the scale and breadth of the Hāpai portfolio with a strategic focus on high tech industrial in a key growth area in Auckland. As a 50/50 Joint Venture partner with Mackersy Property, Hāpai is investing in large scale, state of the art automated logistics facility in Drury, Auckland.
The Cardinal Logistics property is thirty minutes south of Auckland city and with direct access to the City, Port and Auckland International Airport. Ideally positioned in the “Golden Triangle” of Auckland, Tauranga and Hamiton, representing 50% of New Zealand’s population, and sees the facility ideally positioned to service the forecast population growth of this area.
The facility will be New Zealand’s first fully automated warehouse (29m high), with technologically advanced third person logistics ASRS (automatic storage and retrieval system) – capable of storing x4 that of existing warehouses on similar footprints. The facility is capable of accommodating 115,000 pallets, making it one of the largest of its type in the southern hemisphere.
This project is delivered as a joint venture, further illustrating the attractiveness of Hāpai as a strategic partner for industrial developments in New Zealand.
